Storage tanks comply with stricter ErP regulations

On 26 September 2017, the next step in the Ecodesign LOT 2 regulations went into effect. As a result, some changes have been made to the ST storage tanks and the IT and ITS indirect storage tanks:

  • New height and diameter
  • Warm water connection has been relocated
  • Connection for electrical element has been added
  • Upgraded from energy label D/E to energy label C

The volume and power ratings for the storage tanks will remain unchanged, as will their sale prices

Maximum standby losses

As of 26 September, all storage and indirect tanks up to 2,000 litres will have to comply with maximum standards for stoppage loss. For this reason, the insulation jackets for water heaters have been altered, as have their dimensions.

Although the 2,500-litre to 3,000-litre tanks are not subject to the Ecodesign regulations, we have also adjusted their insulation jackets in accordance with the rest of the series.

We have also designed an entirely new jacket for the 1,500-litre to 3,000-litre tanks. The jacket is no longer made of aluminium or soft materials; instead, they are surrounded in grey plastic to bring these big boys more into line with the rest of the series.

  • Standby loss within ErP
  • More aesthetic design
  • Sturdy jacket for assembly
  • Insulation added under the tank as well
